Richard B. Freeman is a world-famous economist, winner of international awards, and a fascinating speaker for both academic and general public audiences. Invited by one of his former students, Steffen Jenner, Professor Freeman will present insights into the economics of science, in general, as well as his view on how scientific knowledge is generated, in particular. Richard B. Freeman holds the Herbert Ascherman Chair in Economics at Harvard University. He is currently serving as Faculty Co-Director of the Labor and Worklife Program at Harvard Law School. He directs the National Bureau of Economic Research / Sloan Science Engineering Workforce Projects, and is Senior Research Fellow in Labour Markets at the London School of Economics' Centre for Economic Performance.The talk will be followed by a reception.
