The sudden and explosive rise of economic and political populism and the financial and economic turmoil of the past month have already signaled a major paradigm shift in national and international affairs. What do movements as far apart as the Tea Party, Occupy Wall Street, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Arab Spring have in common? Will Obama succeed in running for office a second time? We would like to discuss these matters in some of their manifold ramifications this quarter and perhaps beyond.
