Talk with Lucas Odgen, d.a.i. Tübingen. Ever since the Gold Rush, the “Golden State” of California has been associated with hopes and dreams. Today, California is famous not only for its beaches, cities and national parks, but also as the home of Silicon Valley and Hollywood. Politically, the state of California is promoting alternatives to Trump’s policies on immigration and climate change. In this presentation, Lucas Ogden will give a lively and engaging portrayal of his home state, paying special attention to how California is still managing to keep its economy growing and to project a positive and welcoming image of the American Dream.
