METRONOME BLUES is the solo project of Rhys Braddock (Gerda Blank). The eponymous first album was recorded in various cities and studios between 2000-2008 : Melbourne, Tokyo, London and, finally New Plymouth, NZ. Now based in Brno in the Czech Rep. Rhys has formed METRONOME BLUES to play these songs: new clothes for old bones (with Honza Capek – bass, Lukas Kytnar – drums). The original recordings are mainly electronic in nature, while the new live versions breathe new life into the songs. METRONOME BLUES is a contradiction in terms, and an exercise in the transference of electronic music into live, living music.
